Gate City Gamers began in Greensboro as a group of friends writing about the games we played. These days it’s mostly just me, and it’s being rebuilt around the part that turned out to be worth keeping: helping people learn to run games.
What’s here
Running games. Notes on game mastering — what actually works at the table, what doesn’t, and the things I wish someone had told me before I ran my first session.
A serial story. Fiction, posted in parts as it gets written.
Books. Things I’ve written, and things written by people I know. Worth your shelf space.
No schedule, no promises. Things go up when they’re done.
The older material
Gate City Gamers ran from 2018 to 2021 — campaign journals, session write-ups, a Werewolf chronicle, a world-building project. That writing isn’t on the site anymore, but it’s preserved and readable.
