Today is the day of game yet again, wow, amazing how time flies. The group gets to have a conversation with Pat Morita, I guess now that I have done research I should say his name as Noriyuki Morita. It should be noted I used Pat so that people could IMDB him. I hope this conversation goes well, it would mean a lot for me to be able to use the tavern/diner as a place for the group to think and regroup and would give me lots of NPCs that might just know a tidbit or two about what the PCs need to keep going, and by saying that I probably would not have one of the monks that works the restaurant know the tidbit. I have to string them along a bit, that’s part of the game, can’t go giving out information just willy nilly, you have to make them put in some work for it. I would have the monk know some mature individual that may know the information and where that person can be found, who know I might even have the monks know some child prodigy that has learned the ways of *shrug* the ancient greeks or something.
I think I am going to have them find something to do with Genghis or Kublai Khan, not sure which, both had a great deal of influence on the world we know today, not saying it was good or bad, just a big influence. I am going to have them search for a lost artifact that one of the Khan’s took which belonged to the first emperor of China (yes I know you just googled it) Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China after the Warring States Period. I know this is after Confucius and during the Legalists period in the Qin Dynasty. There is no telling what might come up as the artifact that is missing, and it’s World of Darkness so there is no telling what has the artifact or who else is looking for it. The group is also supposed to be looking for more information on B.A.R.E and Mr. Montgomery. I hope we have fun, not sure if I will have them fight anyone this time. I like to throw in a fight or two every game for some suspense, or the element of possibly getting caught breaking the Litany. Who knows what could happen, they could take off into the Umbra and end up on another plane of existence or another world, say Durotar, Arakis, Aurora, or Risa.

I hope that it is, or will, help someone new to being a GM understand the nuances and subtle things that go on that aren’t in a book. Please keep in mind that this is my Storytelling style, you will have your own just like John Mayer, Slash, and Michael Paget all play the guitar really well, but they don’t play it in the same way. I tried not to date myself too much here by mentioning Warren Haynes, well there you go I did it anyway.)
